Lighter Oil Tour Power
« on: June 22, 2006, 06:53:26 AM »
I really like the reaction I get from my Tour Power.  Is there anything like it made for lighter oil?  I'd prefer something symmetric, or at least an asymmetic that could be easily drilled stable.  I'm open to just about any manufacturer, but Ebonite would be my last choice.  Doesn't have to be a new release, but at least something that's still available.

Low RG, low differential, milder cover?

Track Arsenal Artillery looks close spec wise, but the cover is probably way too strong.  Ditto for the Dynothane Mag 44.  Hammer Blue Vibe and Pure Hammer Burgundy look they might have a chance.  Visionary blue/green Centaur has a much higher RG, but sounds like a dryer lane control ball.

Ideas?

Strider,

I loved the Tour Power too.  Nothing else has been quite like it.  I would be interested to try the new solid Thunder Struck.  Comes shiny in the box.  Saw a couple Storm guys throwing it, and the Tour Power was the first thing I thought of.  My distributor has them, so they should be available.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.  I'm not looking for a replacement for the Tour Power.  The one I have is near new and I don't foresee any problems keeping the cover alive.  I'm looking for a similar reaction on dryer lanes.

Titan Pearl has some possibilities.  I saw a guy with one some time ago, but didn't watch the reaction closely.

I really like the early revs, but not over reaction of the TP.  The Centaur might be a lighter oil control ball, but I'm unsure if the much higher RG will give me the look I want.
