If you could use only one ball what would it be?

I would use the Blunt Force by Pyramid sold by bowling ball .com It is a hybrid cover with a strong core. Keeps the pins low and the cover adjustment are easy by hand. Just adjust the cover the lane conditions. Hybrid covers are easy through the fronts and strong on the dry the best of both worlds.     

Our shot is pretty tough this year. We get a head shot run on top of what's leftover from the day of open play & early leagues. I'm throwing 3 different drilled Gamebreaker 2's. A pin up no hole, Pin down w/ hole, and a pin in palm shiny one. I really haven't seen a time when any other reaction would have been useful. It's just been my poor shot making all year.

I am shocked the HyRoad isn’t the answer that has dominated this thread.

looks like the Hy-Road will be my next ball.better late than never. I'll see if it replaces my magic ball.

HyRoad is not enough ball or versatile enough for a 1 ball arsenal for those of us at the lower end of the power/RPM spectrum.  For medium volume house shots?  Maybe.  But throwing in higher volume sport shots - nope, not even close.

And I am not saying this flippantly.  I have a HyRoad.  It sits and it waits for when it is needed - which is not often...

Yeah I don't think his ultimate aim was a single ball arsenal in the end.  If you drill the Hy-Road aggressive its fine on THS especially after the first game at least for me and I am probably lower rev than you are (though of course right side dries out a lot quicker of course).  Agree its not a sport shot ball.  It can handle heavier volumes with surface imo than the Venom Shock.  Honestly would recommend both balls without hesitation though.   

This is similar to the whole rule change from a couple of years ago, going from 0.080 to 0.060. Everything made before that was grandfathered in. So if you want to still use your SD-73, go ahead. They will not ban older balls. They just won't. If they do, they only have themselves to blame for the death of their organization.

Hopefully Doom is right.  Still I won't be buying any balls for awhile regardless (fool me once and all that) but then again I have plenty already anyway.

Not saying they won't do it, but it would be the stupidest thing I've ever seen if they BAN something people have already bought. You think your budget is tight now, USBC? Don't allow anything over .040 anywhere and find out where your money comes from. #bitethehandthatfeeds
