What about you?
« on: July 31, 2007, 08:43:18 AM »
As we all know the league season is arriving in a month but for me a couple weeks Aug.26. At the beginning of the summer I would go 2 my normal league house I would get 200 games easy I decided to challenge myself and go 2 a house with a tougher shot at this house there is no room for error either your accurate or your off no wall shot. I practiced here everyday and struggled and now I have the hang of it I have a better straight game it taught me to focus of scoring not how many boards I hooked.  I feel my shots and releases are better. Do any of you go to a tougher house to work on your shot? And do you feel that you have grown this summer in your own ways share some of your thoughts and experiences with me.

Good topic.  I've bowled in a PBA Experience league this summer, which makes me appreciate a THS much more.  Also, I've got a coach that I work with that has helped my game.  I committed to throwing only plastic straight at my spares, and while tough at first, is going to make a good improvement in my game.

People bowl in the summer? I just practice once or twice to keep the timing. I prefer a break from the game to keep the mind fresh. Plus it's too nice outside to be cooped up. Off to the golf course!!!!!!!!

Yes i try to go somewhere new evry season to bowl on something just a little bit different. In Summer we used to go to a place in a small town near Green Bay WI but the place was closed half way through the summer so i bowled in 2 PBA Exp. leagues.

Also my friends and I like to travel to different places to bowl leagues in the area last season 45 minutes north to Shawno to Bowl, always fun to try new places.

i literally practiced everything this summer. as i had 4 pba regional tournaments to get ready for i spent a lot of time getting ready for the cheetah pattern. i threw a lot of games playing right down the 3 board. i also moved in slightly and swung it to that same area. i spent a great deal of time shooting spares and it really paid off. i asked for the driest lanes in the house to work on playing the deep inside line. i worked on four different releases with different pieces of equipment.
