12 or 13 Pound Balls with Dynamic Core
« on: July 16, 2008, 05:25:10 AM »
Are there any 12 or 13 pound balls with anything other than pancake cores? I am ready to get my two sons new balls and would like to get them something with a stronger reaction.

Thanks

Brunswick offers real cores in their 12-13 lbs. balls. These are generic cores, though, but are close to the core specs for the 14+ lbs. pieces.

Check this (it has not been updated yet):

As far as I know those cores are still current in 12 & 13 lbs.

except for the plastic t-zone and urethane groove all of brunswicks bowling balls have dynamic weight blocks in 12 and 13lbs. the power groove reactive has differential increasing discs added to the traditional pancake weight block but all the other balls have dynamic cores.

I would go with the avalanche.

It has a proven core, and it is consistant throught all of the weights.

There are just a few balls with the same core in 12-13 lbs, as in the 14-16 lbs.

The Storm Streetrods have it in the 13 pounder, the Brunswick Avalanche's in 12 and 13 pound.

All The 12-13 lbs balls from brunswick use the same sym./asym. core. The only difference then is the coverstock. For example the Copperhead haas the same core as the Swarm. This rules out the core when it comes to ballchoice.
