Hey guys! I'm bowling the Dutchman tourney next weekend. Has anybody bowled it this year? How dry were the lanes?? How'd ya do? Just looking for some info so I know how much polish to use, lol
Thank you guys

I have not bowled it yet. Will be going there this weekend. My friends who have bowled said the backends were flying in the doubles/singles house. They also said there was a good amount of oil in the Team house.....so prepare accordingly!

Thanks for the info, Jesse James! I'm headed there next weekend also, bowling the 31st and 1st. I think we're doing S/D on the 31st, then teams on the 1st.

Very Cool! Maybe I'll see you there. Don't know what you'll be wearing but you can't miss me. I'll be in either a red, black, or tan shirt with Mr. James in big letters on the back. It will also have a picture of a nattily attired gentleman standing in a field of bowling pins, shown as well. If you see me, please say HI!!

Awesome! I'll definitely introduce myself should I see ya, Mr. James. It's always fun to meet new bowlers across the country!!

Hey Noodlejester!
Just spoke with another partner, fresh back from Lebanon! He says the Team house has the flying backends and high friction!
He says the other house is "wide-open"!!
Not sure what or who to believe now, but.........we know that there will be some hooking lanes somewhere! LOL!

HAHA! That's great info!
Those two houses were always friction-y for me in the past. And with today's balls being insanely strong compared to 2 years ago, I'll be polishing some stuff up lol
Bowl well, man! And maybe see ya out there!

sooo! We missed each other!
You were at the Team house when I was at the Singles and Doubles house and vice versa!
Oh well. Maybe next time!

Yeah, I was bummed about that! They switched our squad times during the week. I'll be bowling the Dutchman a few times next year - I'll let ya know when we go!
And for what it's worth, I had the Team house with some pretty gross backends that never really opened up, and the S/D house hooking from the start! But the S/D house kind of stayed the same for the majority of the 6 games, which I found quite nice.

Yup! That team house was tricky. The pattern was flat. I bowled on it with a little surface and went 192-200 the first two games. Okay, but not great. Then when we switched lanes, we went to over/under hell!! I don't know how the heck those guys were paying the lanes. I got so frustrated, I moved from playing down and in to swinging the entire lane with a strong pearl.....and that was the ticket, but way too late!
The sgls/dbls house was WIDE OPEN!! And I missed it! I should have bowled 6 games of 200+ games.......but I didn't!! Sad, sad execution on my part but I get to go back again in another three weeks. I don't plan on missing it then!
Hopefully, I'll look for you next season. I'll let you know how I did on the second pass when I get back!

Mr. James, you are spot on! We had the same experience as you. On Teams, I had a good look down & in for about 8 frames, and then it just vanished. But I couldn't get anything to read properly for 2 games. I had a good first and last 8 frames...the rest of the frames I was fishing, haha
Good luck during your next trip out there - I hope you win many meats!!
