Title: 3G ultra vs 3g sport
Post by: michael.willis9 on March 24, 2019, 09:57:42 PM
I’m looking at investing in a nice pair of shoes. I’ve heard nothing but good things about 3g shoes.

Obviously the price is nicer for the 3g sport ultra, but if the tour ultra is worth it I don’t mind paying a little more.

Other shoe recommendations are also okay

When replacing my worn tour ultras I too was undecided on which to get. Bowling.com had a special on the sport ultras for $113. I bought those and have not looked back. Very comfortable, vented on the bottom and very nice looking along with being to use all of my soles and heels I have stashed.

I did need to order bright orange shoe covers though. I used to have a shoe cover the same color as my shoes and forgot to take it off and wiped out on the approach. Dain Bramage!!!

Other than the accessories you get, the Tour Ultras are kangaroo leather, while the Sports are cowhide. The tour Ultras are like butter on your feet.

Nothing more to add other then what’s already stated above; The Tour Ultra’s are the most comfortable shoe that I’ll ever wear;  If your not careful, you’ll mistake them for regular shoes.   ;D

I've used both and the Tour Ultras are worth the money. However, if you don't mind a little extra weight and longer break in period, you can get away with the Sports. I still use the cleat cut out sole from my Tour Ultras on my Sports now and love how I'm able to adjust my slide little by little.
