Shoulder Dip
« on: June 10, 2008, 12:00:13 AM »
When I dip, you dip, we dip.

Last night, and the past few sessions I've bowled, my throwing shoulder (right) has been dipping like a fiend at the line.  My left/slide leg has some issues: after bowling a lot (like, 5-6 games), my knee and side start to get swollen a little, remnants of an old sports injury.  Now that I'm bowling more, I find more and more discomfort in my left leg in general: could my shoulder be dipping to compensate for the discomfort?  Or is it all in my head and all I need is a good solid practice outing?

Also, does anybody know of a good knee brace?  If you were looking at my knee face on, it hurts around 1-2 o'clock.  It's above the knee cap and goes a bit up into my thigh.  Are there braces that support the tendons/muscles on the sides/tops of knees?

Thanks for any and all help everyone!  BallReviews rules

none of those braces really work...  You are having Patellar tracking issues.  Strengthening is really yhe only thing that will help.  You can tape the knee cap to help it track correctly.  I would suggest going to a Physical Therapist to start you in the right direction and help with the taping.  My .02

I'm thinking I might take that new chick from Logistics. If things go well I might be showing her my O-face. "Oh... Oh... Oh!" You know what I'm talkin' about. "Oh!"

Thanks for the reply MX.  I'm going to make an appointment with my doctor later this week.
