Hating the wall shot
« on: January 01, 2007, 01:11:48 PM »
Just venting.

Had a tourney tonight.
43ft wall shot. Bone dry from 7 to the ditch.

I bowled average for the night, but threw it like crap. The shot was there, but I could not hit it consistently. I was using a flippy pearl...one shot would bounce off the dry early. The next shot I would tug a bit, and then watch it sail in the oil. Finding that happy medium was not an easy chore.

When faced with bone dry on the outside, how do you attack it? Different ball surface? Do you keep it in the oil and avoid bouncing it off the dry?
