National's Shot
« on: May 18, 2008, 08:36:47 AM »
Wow, today they put the nationals pattern out for us youths at the Minnesota Junior Bowlers Tour today. It really kicked some people around. The cut was down to +12 for 9 games. I have to say this was a very tough pattern and I am glad to still be in youth bowling so I don't have to bowl on this yet...

I bowled on the Nationals Pattern last Thursday (first night in our summer league). I shot 553 (with a very sore back). There were several 220-and-up hacks who did not break 500! I had a good look with my rico'd AMF Code playing a tight line (15 to 10). As the shot broke down, I moved in a little more, but not much. We are going to use that pattern once more this Thursday, and then move on to the PBA patterns. We are going to wrap up the league with the US Open pattern. That should be the toughest of them all!
