Vise it Question
« on: September 16, 2013, 01:45:12 PM »
I purchased a used ball from an pro shop via ebay. It came with the Vise it System installed in the thumb. They said the thumb is 1 1/2". I was originally intending on converting it to Switch Grip, but I'm thinking about keeping the it instead. My question is I can't find that they make products for Vise it that accommodate a hole size of 1 1/2" so how would I go about getting a thumb slug fitted for the it system that fits the 1 1/2" hole?

They make a top sleeve for the IT system that they call a "transition sleeve." Essentially it converts a 1 1/2" hole to a 1 3/8" opening for the slug. Can't find a link but your pro shop should be able to get it from their distributor for sure. That's the only reason I know about it. Saw it when I was looking for other IT-related products. Hope this helps. Good luck!

FWIW- Vise IT is a pretty cool system. Much different/better than I thought/expected. Everyone I know who uses it has been very happy with it.

Check out the link below, they have everything you would need if your local shop doesn't have the IT system.  Idk if you can buy just one top sleeve, but they have several options.

Vise also has 1 1/2 slugs to be used in IT. Glue the "slug it " on the slug, drill , lock it in, cut to surface and go.
