???TOP PRO SHOPS IN NEW JERSEY???
« on: March 29, 2008, 03:51:51 PM »
I'm a bowler who competes regularly in all types of tournaments including some pro stops and regionals. I am curious to know which pro shops come highly recommended in NJ.

Matt up at Carolier Lanes in New Brunswick is the only person i trust for drilling my bowling balls. He will go out of his way to make sure you are happy (which is the way it should be). He is also very knowledgeable. You can also try Lakewood Lanes and Papps in Bordentown if New Brunswick is too far north for you.

Ken is very good, but problem I had there was he had others working and doing ball layouts/drilling. If you can get Ken to do the work himself then you won't have a problem.

I use Rob at Stelton Lanes,  he usually takes well over an hour working with me laying out/drilling the ball and then makes sure everything is honky dory.  I also heard the pro shop at Deptford lanes is a treat too.  My friend got his Gravity Shift drilled there and it fits his hand amazingly well.

Do you bowl at Stelton? I live about 10 minutes away and was curious as to how the leagues are there

I bowled there for a whole one half of one season.  I went to Rutgers and that was closest since Mid-State went bye bye.  I did the Monday Pro-Shop triples at like, 9:15PM.  Easily the best bowlers assembled in a league I've ever seen, and a pretty tight house shot.  I was very impressed and had a blast.  If you go, talk to Rob in the pro shop, he's a great great guy and very bowling knowledgeable.

Pavlinko's without a doubt.  I would recommend sticking with Steve himself.  Deptford and Cherry Hill, and I think he is getting a third shop up soon, too.

Hey where is this Pavlinko's place? I am moving to Westampton soon so driving up to New Brunswick is going to be even more of a pain. Cherry Hill is a lot closer so i would rather go there. Especially since i have heard three people in this post recommend the place.

Lerro's Pro Shop in East Orange, NJ.

Just ask for Romeo Lerro Jr.  He is really good with layouts.

Why is there more oil in the parking lot then on the lanes I bowl on?

Does this guy Steve work at the one in Cherry Hill? Is the rest of his staff good to go?

Im so glad people are brainwashed to thinking that if they buy a new ball they will carry everything. And its even funnier when im carrying with my 15 year old ball and they're going flat ten.

Ok, sincee you obviously can't travel from South Jersey to North Jersey, how about telling us where you live so we can narrow down the choices to local pro shops???
