get another AI?
they're still available out there.

for lighter oil, get a smokin inferno, drill with the pin low to help smooth out over/under, gets a good read to blend with the AI reaction qualities.

A Vapor Zone might also be an option, though a label drilling might not work with a high track due to the asym. core.

An international Mega Zone S would also be a 100% copy of an AI, buit your best bet will surely be to get an original AI right now, since you might still get one and even as a bargain since it was just discontinued a couple of days ago.

i used to have an ai.  like the ball alot.  i replaced it with a hole pounder pearl.  the two balls act similar on THS, with the pounder being one or two boards less in overall hook.

Hmmm, I'd have a look at Storm's Agent line - IMHO a similar basic symmetrical core design with a low RG core, and I guess a Special Agent would be quite close to an AI reaction wise, from what I can tell. The pearl original Agent is more light-footed than an AI, reminds me more of the OI.

It is very hard to find a reaction replacement for a certain ball from a different manufacturer, since there are different design philosophies involved. Finding a ball for a similar lane condition as an AI is not the problem, but if you want the ball to do exactly the same thing, it will be more difficult.

If you don't get another pearlized activator based shell it may be hard to find a reaction like that.  The closest I've seen in the benchmark rolly/even/versatile pearl combination are the Storm Agent, Storm Shift, and Roto Grip Mystic.  The Mystic is probaly your closest bet.  The light particle load gives it that "stuck to the lane roll" that activator is famous for.

Since the Vapor Zone has the exact same coverstock AND finish, it is your safest bet. The drill can easily be manipulated by any decent driller/pro shop to replicate fairly closely the reaction of the drill on your AI.
