Inferno vs Cherry Bomb
« on: May 26, 2003, 09:41:09 PM »
Does anyone out there own both of these balls?  If so, does the reaction differ much from to the other.  I know that you can set their reactions to be night and day with varying drilling patterns.  But, if drilled similarly, with similar specs(top/pin), how close are the reactions?  Will one give you what the other won't on a given condition?  I currently own a Cherry Bomb.  The Inferno looks like a dynamite ball, but I am afraid that it would be too close to the Cherry Bomb to really make a difference in my arsenal.

i doubt that these two balls would be similar. they both have different coverstocks AND core designs. any similarity would be a coincidence.

Yes, very true about the difference in covers and cores.  But, different core and coverstock combinations have, on occasion, been known to produce similar reactions.  Of course not exact, but close.  The reason I ask is, I don't like to carry a 6 ball arsenal into a bowling alley, but I do like to have a diverse 3-4 ball arsenal.  If these two balls are extremely close, meaning they are intended for the same conditions and will produce a similar reaction on those conditions, I don't want to pick one up.
