I had never seen this,...til last night.
« on: April 15, 2005, 03:31:42 AM »
Bowling in our Thur-night mixed league, 4 person team. The wife, my oldest son, our neighbor and me. My son, a scratch bowler, leaves the 4-6, no big deal. BUT,....he slides the 6 pin across the deck and it topples over perfectly and knocks down the 4 for a spare. The 6 pin had to be standing up as it slid across the deck at least 3/4 of the way,..really cool. That's the first time I've ever seen the 4-6 picked like that....jim...

I've do that oddly enough with the 4-6 split too.  You have to roll the ball perfectly in the right angle and speed to get it to slide then fall on the pin.  It's cool to see the reaction

I saw this happen on my Sunday fun league last week.  He left the 4-6, and threw at the 6 to get count.  Sent it out too far, and the ball BARELY clipped the 6.  The 6 fell over and bounced once on the deck before eeeking the 4 out.  That was the first time I've ever seen that split made.

D <~~~~ Used to be terrible wiffing 10 pins.  Now through much practice, can wiff any single pin spare at any time.

I slid the 6 into the 4 at a college tournament in Pennsylvania over Christmas break.  I thought i missed it completely and the 6 just toppled left and tipped the 4.  First time anyone on my team had seen it made without bouncing it out.

I shot at the big 4 once,...and left the 4 and the 6,..huh.

At Vegas in warm-ups one bowler was shooting at the ten pin,...threw the ball, and clipped the 6 and the 10,...after the pins stopped falling all that was left standing was 2-3.

I took that (4-6) out this past week.  Clipped the right side of the 4 pin, sending it into the wall, it flew back out, clipping the top of the 6 messenger style.  I thought I was gonna flag it so I turned around, then everyone started screwaming and explained what had happend.  Wish I hadn't turned around now.
