INFO STEALER ALERT
« on: June 19, 2006, 12:26:16 AM »
I posted this on another thread but felt it important enough to post on it's own. My system detected spyware ( info stealer ) just seconds ago. Luckily for me. I check my system everyday. Although there is no cover all program that will safeguard your infor or computer, take the extra time to protect your stuff as best as possible!

Which anti-spyware programs are you using?

Ad-Aware?
Spybot?

I just ran Ad-Aware on my computer and it didn't find anything.  I want to use the same one that you are using and see if I can find it too.

Drat.  I would need a free program.  I'll try spybot and see if it finds anything.

spybot is a joke. when i had it, it didnt actually remove any of the programs it found. AOL's anti-spyware and McAfee actually do remove everything.

Well, I wouldn't use AOL and I have gotten by fine without McAfee so far.  By using an updated FireFox and a couple free spyware programs I have never had any problems.
