Late into the night, usually game 3-4, something in my upper arm pops, causing my thumb to start to tingle and go numb whenever I throw my ball. What could cause this, and how could I fix it?
-
Doctor. Go see your Docter.

I agree, go see your doctor. The pop obviously is a joint, and my best guess is the numbness is a pinched nerve. Don't play around or try and figure out stuff like that, you wait to long and you may need major surgery ( that affects a lot more than bowling).

When I say pop, that is a poor choice of a word. I can feel something shift next to my bicep and bone. it is in the sensitive part of the inside of the arm

Asking anyone but a Doctor or medical professional is not advised.

Yeah I'm with everyone else on this.
Go see your doctor ASAP! This could be the start of something major and if it were to completely fail while in the motion of bowling you could risk never bowling again with your current arm. I'm not sure if you'd be willing to start all over again with your opposite hand...... food for thought!

I am recovering from major shoulder surgery. Don't wait until little funny pains or soreness go too far. See your doctor and if they say see a surgeon I do recommend a sports surgeon not just someone that won't understand. There is a difference from what I can tell comparing orthopedic surgeons. Mine also specializes in micro-surgery which helps with damage and healing.
