Help with picking a dry lane ball
« on: September 03, 2008, 06:35:19 AM »
The house I bowl at has changed the pattern this year and it's going to be pretty dry. Best shot is well inside.  Now my problem.  The weakest ball I have is a Columbia Messenger Ti Pearl (black & gold) and it's too strong (even with a lot of polish) unless I get really deep which is way out of my comfort zone.  I need a ball that is weaker than this and I'd like to stay with Columbia, Ebonite or Hammer.

I'm a senior bowler with speed of about 15 mph and some hand.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Hammer Razyr perhaps?

Simple 3 piece core of days gone by with a modern aggressive cover stock.

Local shop is having trouble keeping them in stock since it's filling a hole between the stronger Tropical Storms and weaker cover on the Power Groove Dry/R.

depending on what weight you use I have a NIB Columbia Hyjinx(orange) that is good for drier lanes.. let me know what weight you throw and I'll send you the specs with a good price..  slashrr69

The Razyr or a Tornado may be the answer.  A Tornado Warning if you can find one may be good also.  I had to break my dry lane ball out yesterday, an ABS Lane Navi.

Grab a house ball.

Honestly, go with Smash49's suggestions or even an Avalanche Pearl.
