Dirty lanes - how?
« on: March 18, 2009, 03:11:45 AM »
Well, it is like this.... yesterday league I take my Ntense which gave me a 703 last week (used a Red Zone final game) and at practice we realize all balls return really dirty with this like black rubber-oil mixed stuff, very difficult to take out. The thing is that even with water we couldn't take this out, in fact it took me like three times of cleaning instead of one which I usually do with my cleaner to take this dirt out. I went 210-169-178, couldn't find a zone after game one, all dirt in the middle no carry for all. The question is how do you play this condition and do you have to take your cleaner and maintain the ball after every shot?
Thanks in advance.

Did anyone call the counter to see if there was a leak in the pinsetter or something like that?

Not a dirty lane, just a dirty ball. Probably oil grease from the ball return - ugly stuff. I use Lanemasters' ball cleaner for such dire cases, and a micro fibre towel also comes in handy if you find that much grime on the ball that it actually affects traction/preformance.

Second the likely culprit being in the ball return, most likely at the back end instead of the front end.  Front end used to be most noted for belt burn...
