We have had discussions on drillings, surfaces, ball types, etc.  For the first time in years I got a new ball.  Haven't really worried about PAP but we needed it to lay the ball out.

Turned out mine is 4 3/4 and up 1".  What does that tell you guru's about my release.  Does it matter.

Just curious.

It says you may need more surface on the same ball with the same drilling to get a similar reaction on the same oil pattern than a guy with the same axis tilt, same asxis rotation, same revs, and same speed but higher track (say 5 1/2"). You see the start of the number of variables involved.

Much more would be hard to say. Oh, the implication is that, IF all the other variables are IDENTICAL, you will get more length and a more flippy reaction with the same surface of the same ball than the higher track guy gets. His reaction, on the same oil pattern, will be sooner and smoother in the backend, IF you play the same line.

Sr., your PAP tells me that you spin the ball a bit. You come off the side of the ball, while also being on top of the ball slightly, with your thumb pointing down at the release.

Your release makes the ball go long, so you will bowl better on drier lane conditions and/or later squads. How did I do..? =:^D
