Ball cleaners 2015, any new opinions?
« on: January 27, 2015, 09:37:01 PM »
Been bowling about a year now.  I have tried Ebonite Power Wash, Ebonite Clean and Dull, and Valentino Remedy Rx.  The Clean and Dull cleaned best but didn't leave ball with a tacky feeling after like the sprays did.

I'm curious if anyone tried something new recently that they really liked.

I'm using a new Vise cleaner that works great.

That's my combination too.

I've experimented with most of the commercial cleaners, and Hook-It is the most potent I've used. I clean with Hook-It before I leave the lanes. I've never been able to extract any oil from balls cleaned with Hook-It in my NuBall Rejuvenator. I can't say the same for balls cleaned with Simple Green home brews or other spray cleaners.

I use Remedy for cleaning between grits when I resurface/refresh on the spinner. As far as the "approved for use during USBC competition" cleaners, the product does a good job.

Check your phone, sent you a picture. This stuff is the best I've used.

Remedy Rx is my go to cleaner.  I also found that Motiv Power Gel Clean and Motiv Power Gel Scuff work well.

Man, they must have got that up in the past couple of days. I've only tried the cleaner so far. Leaves the ball nice and tacky and cleans great.

Remedy Rx is my go to cleaner.  I also found that Motiv Power Gel Clean and Motiv Power Gel Scuff work well.

Motiv Power Gel Clean is OK, but I never felt it was in the top tier of cleaners (Hook-It, Clean n' Dull).

The scuff compounds are a whole different subject, but I like Motiv Scuff. It's not a abrasive as Storm Reacta Scuff, but I like end results of the Motiv product.
