912T or Wicked Encounter
« on: July 17, 2012, 07:57:19 AM »
Just received a 911T and Wicked Encounter from Ebonite. Anyone have chance to throw both? Why they sent two balls so close I don't know. Figured they would have sent a pearl and a solid. In reading BTM, only real difference I see is WE has a slightly higher differential, (which I understand allows for more flare) and a slightly higher backed rating. Both are 1500 abralon with WE having overall hook if 55 and 912T at 54. Not one to punch a ball just to throw, so looking for pros/cons. Have not thrown Columbia in a few years but threw Track last year and was my best arsenal.

All of the 9-series T balls have been exactly as advertised, so considering my history with the 920T, I'd drill up a 912T before I would the Wicked Encounter. However, admittedly I am a Track homer because their stuff suit my game the best. However, Columbia is my second choice due to their proven success in the mid-lane.

I have not thrown the WE but I do have a 912t. It is a very strong ball and works really well on lots of oil. I bowled a 289 the 1st set I had it. It also seems to mix the pins really well on lite or high headpin hits.
