Title: ball polish machines
Post by: Metal_rules on October 24, 2016, 08:32:48 AM
Who uses the machines in the alleys to polish there equipment? If so does this do the job correctly, or is this money wasted and you should be going to the shop for adjustments?

If it gives you what you want/like, the use it.  If not, go to the shop and do something else.

The typical Lustre King machine is pretty old and I am not sure I would trust the upkeep or the condition of the compound.

I use them to repolish my spare ball all the time. I'm not putting one of my strike balls in it.

The stand alone machines (Lustre King) usually use a wax to polish the ball which could clog the pores in the ball and cause it to skid down the lane but never react. Most pro shops will have a polish that doesn't clog the pores and will allow the ball to get the traction on the lane.
