Book..Bowling steps to success...
« on: January 19, 2008, 11:17:51 PM »
A good friend of mine who is a good athlete and a low 200 average bowler has been throwing....REAL nice.  I frankly say he is throwing like a right handed Parker Bohn!

Smoothness, freedom, speed, revs, great projection, big hit, pin annhilation and carry.

The other day he whipped out a 675 so easy it could have easily been 755!

I asked him...."What gives".

He just told me he had been using this "Red cover bowling book I picked up at Barnes and Noble"...."I think the guy is coach at Wichita State or something".

Well not quite the guy is Doug Wiedman and he is an instuctor at Purdue...

He commented on some of my stuff going on...as he saw it and told me what he had been working on based on the book....basic timing elements...what he saw on me based on the book...

HE...is throwing it great....ME I'm throwing it better....I've picked up the book and the section on the grip is quite good!  The sections on timing he talked about I haven't reviewed.  But if his bowling is an indication.....it's quite a book!

Know it?

Scooted over to Barnes & Noble and bought the book. Looks like alot of good material in it. I'll read it while Walters dropping his eggs.
