jfpops...is funny...one of the new series of pops guys....
I like Chinese food too and I like cheap goods.
If people are serious about this we have to make a choice!
Read "Where the west went wrong" by Pat Buchanon.
In it he describes the Hamiltonian system we lived under for over 100 years starting after the war of 1812.
Tariffs, no income taxes, a highly paid well educated middle class, and all goods that could be made; made here. Naturally goods were more expensive than they would have been if manufactured by cheaper labor overseas....naturally a global economic policy of free trade did not exist.
If you want this type of National Economic policy of protectionism brought back Buchanon is your man....if you want cheap goods, jobs shipped overseas to India, China, and Mexico most of today's candidates are for it except for a few democrats who are for some complicated version of protectionism.
I believe there are better solutions but these are the two most common systems regarding trade that most are promoting.
The flow of jobs is predictable and all corporate CEOS must play ball and lower costs and maximize profits if they want to keep their jobs and maximize their own wealth. They are doing it well...the middle class suffers...America suffers.
