Most reviews on this site are positive; however, I would like to know what ball was disappointing to you! It's tough to pick through all this glamorizing reviews.

I didn't have much luck with the Critical Theory either, in fact I've come to the conclusion, that for me, I dislike asymmetrical balls period.

Wow, I was considering the Motiv Primal Impulse. Too bad all the reviews are essentially copy/pastes from Motiv Staffers. I don't know who to listen to on that one.
For me, the 900 Global Bounty Hunter let me down. It was too unpredictable, and changing the surface did nothing for me.

It's not so much the ball I just didn't match up well with the Pearl's.
Ebonite Total NV, Gave it more than enough time and tried surface changes, for me Total Disappointment.
Hammer Taboo, didn't fair so well either just found someone to take it off my hands.

I gave up on my Pure Physics. Used the same layout that I used on my pure swing and full swing. I was able to score with it on a couple PBA patterns and had some luck with it on a house shot. But also very seldom seen the volume it commanded. However, I kept it because someday I think Ill need it. haha.

Real disappointment was the Smash Zone. It only worked one single time - on a 30' short pattern. Otherwise, it never produced a consistent reaction for me, despite surface tuning. My biggest disappointment so far, but the confirmation that low RG cores and itchy covers are not the best choice fopr me and my game. At least, one thing learned from it.
Another ball that I had and which was a real dud was a ZonePro HPD. I expected a lot from it, but it loped down the lane like a dead, fat cat. O.K., it was a used ball, but it canme in good shape and I could not get any proper reation from it.

Looking back, there are a few that I liked at first, but over time they did not match up with me or the conditions I faced:
C-System 4.5 - over/under
Radical Inferno - over/under
Fury Solid - condition specific, but better w/ polish
Mammoth - needed a flood
Storm LaNina - needed the Exxon Valdez oil spill to carry
Roto Grip Global Assault
Ebonite Red Wolf
Storm Shock Trauma - love/hate relationship (but it smelled great)
There are probably more, but many balls just needed surface tweaks and they became nice additions.

I've had a few over the years, but the worst matchup for me was the Bone XS. I tried several drillings with multiple surfaces and never could match up with it. Most of the others I've disliked(Sapphire Zone Pearl, Danger Zone, Teal Rhino Pro) were just too condition-specific for regular use, but if I hit that certain condition, watch out.

I would like to say that its also possible that if the ball wasnt laid out properly it will be a huge disapointment. but i will add the noize and the rock star to this list.

and most lately the Invasion by Storm. Couldn't do a thing with those peices. Of course, it's all about style match-up, though.

Black Widow Sting (in general I hate the gas mask core because I tried a few other Black Widows and they all rolled like crap for me)

I see the Invasion is mentioned on here, I was in the minority who absolutely love that ball lol.

Basically I will say any of the early Hammer stuff after Ebonite took over was horrifically bad.
Not to switch the subject, but the worst rolling ball that I ever saw was the pearl Rock by Columbia.....a buddy of mine had one and after he released it, I wasn't sure which way the ball was going to go.

Easily the Gamebreaker. I was a huge fan of the V2 Sanded and this was supposed to be the second coming. Instead the ball was an absolute dud and stopped hooking in 2 weeks.

Morich Solid LevRG - Tried every surface I could think of. Never did roll well or even give me a good hit.
Ebonite V2 Strong/R - I think I only saw enough oil to use this piece one time. It was a monster if the oil was long or heavy enough to get down lane. I shot 650 with it in Wichita, but that was really the only time it ever was worth anything.

I'm seeing the Virtual Gravity on here, too funny... It's only one of the best balls ever sold, LoL!! The people listing it probably either A. Set it up for strongest hooking power & threw them on dry lanes, or B. Set it up for weakest hook, expecting it to be hook in a box all, on it's own at their feet... LMAO!!

For some. I'm a shill for Ebonite, and even I don't act like it could be fixed. I went through 3 Gamebreakers and 1 Black Widow Pearl and each could not be revived (which is why Ebonite replaced them). Had it not been for their customer service I would have never come back once they resolved the issue.

The 3 Motiv balls I threw....Red QZ1, SR2, and TX1 or whatever the freaking letters were.
Other than that......
The Cell Pearl. I loved my original Cell and thought "Hmm, different length same idea----I'll be able to use it on a broader spectrum of lane conditions". I'm still looking for ANY lane condition that ball liked in my hands.
Evil Siege---The ball hit like a dishrag for me. Very disappointing. Ball looked great for 55 feet.

+1 on the Track 607A SE. I heard all of the hoopla about it, read the BTM report on it which gave it really high numbers in almost every catergory, so I bought one and DUH, the ball wasn't for me what it was supposed to be. Even after several cover adjustments it still wouldn't even begin to perform. My driller wanted to try it, so I traded it to him for his Storm Nano Solid of which he had it at a high polish finish and the Nano worked really great for me from the first time I threw it .... and guess what, the 607A SE worked well for him also, so we both ended up happy in the end.

One person's trash is another person's treasure!!! All bowling balls don't match up to every bowler for whatever reason; surface, layout, wrong lane conditions or oil pattern, operator error!! I've seen people that want a skid/flip reaction or earlier rolling piece and they buy the wrong ball for reaction they are looking for!!! Don't buy the next hot ball/Ball of the Year, just to have it!!! Buy a ball for a specific reason and purpose!!! Just my $.02, Bruce
Train a child up in the way they should go and when they are old they will do some "Damn Good Bowling", be a "DV8" and not turn from it, besides bowling starts with a Big B!

Motiv QZ2- Turd in the box if I ever bought one, multiple surface adjustments and it just refuses to find the pocket. The Silver RX-1 is heads above this ball somehow, and does what I hoped the QZ2 would have
Roto Grip Mutant Cell- Man did I love the original Cell and this "juiced up" version came out around the time I had cracking issues with my original and I figured I might as well try this one. Great for first couple of weeks and then the reaction just left it and that was it.
Columbia Big Bully- My ultimate disappointment, redrilled twice, multiple surface adjustments, traded it, traded back for it, traded it, traded back for it then sold the dang thing to some kid that was a spinner. Wow was that thing like a woman, did whatever it pleased without permission.

I had the same experience as well, I was about to give up on my 920T, but I played with the surface a lot and now it's the second favorite ball that I own. Kind of weird to, because the reaction is has given me has completely changed. When I first got it, the ball was a smooth even strong rolling bowling ball, now the ball flips instead of rolls. Considering I already have a 505T, which rolls plenty, it opened up a new spot in my arsenal and gave me an earlier version of my 920A which is one of those balls that is so good you just need to get out of it's way and you'll do fine.

The worst ball I've ever thrown was the Columbia Backyard Bully. It was terrible for me.
A close 2nd was the original Storm Furious.

Ok I'll chime in,the two ultimate turds I had were the dreaded Storm Duece and the equally bad AMF Bone Ball. Both were immensly speed and condition sensitive,and hit amazingly soft.

When I was with Roto/Storm two balls that sold amazing in my shop but I couldn't stand were the 2nd Dimension and Cell Pearl. (even though I loved the original cell)
Currently the Track products I wasn't very happy with have been the 607A and 300T. Neither were what I expected....again....selling well in my shop and good customer response but for me.....not so much.

Storm Attitude Shift. I will say in the balls defense it was a "Pro CG" ball, that came with nearly 4 oz of top weight!! My driller had to drill all the way to China to get the excess top out.It was just a lazy rolling ball for me,specializing in pocket 8-10s LoL.Even smelled kinda wierd too.Some Cranberry-orange scent.

Track Assassin for me it it like a wet marshmellow. Drilled it for a teammate and he killed with it.
Blue Wolf - rolled to early and was an 8-10 machine. same as above drilled for a teammaie and he killed with it
