OH NO....those mini FXXXXXG shipping beads!
« on: August 07, 2008, 02:53:39 AM »
Just did a real nice deal on Ebay.  Shipper responsive fast helpful, and a good price.

The ball showed up in a box with lots of those mini FXXXXXG shipping beads.

Pulled the nice shape ball out and stuck to it quite tightly tons of mini sticky pieces of those mini FXXXXXXG shipping beads.  Alchohol on a cloth didn't work, finally a lightly used bevel knife gently dragged over the approximately 400 pieces stuck to the ball and 20 minutes later the beautiful ball made it's appearance.

IF you are shipping and they ask you to add those mini FXXXXXXG shipping beads would you please ask them if they have a bag to put around your ball!?

Anyone know how to get those lovelies off your ball by a faster easier method?

Lucky, use a shop vac. It works really well to get rid of those mini FXXXXXG shipping beads.

rub a ballon on your hair and then put the ball next to the ball and with box of shipping beads. I doubt it will work, but it would be fun to watch.

I'd say try the shop vac, those beads have a static charge on them all the way from the factory. The only problem is then the beads are in your shop vac.

The only other thing I could think of was putting the ball in a bucket of water.

The foam should float off the ball, then skim the beads off the water.

If these are just the styrofoam packing peanuts, there is no way in hell you'd need to use a bevel knife to get them off unless you ball was baked in them for a while. Are these mine FXXXXXXXXXING beads something other than the usual suspects?
