Belmo Ball

After watching the PBA Team event last night I'm thinking if you buy Storm's latest Belmo ball Pro? Motion, you may want to invest in a good spare ball. NOT A GOOD SHOWING

Where are these?...…. "most environments are using thicker and more volumes than when the ball was introduced".
I bowl at two houses in my home area and travel in a monthly tournament league that covers eight additional centers.  I have yet to find the type or volume of oil mentioned.
That's why I have so many medium to heavy oil balls sitting in my ball rack collecting dust.
Wish I could find the conditions quoted, it would be a fun change.

Simple answer - stop bowling on house shots only.  Find a sport shot where the ratio is 3:1 or less - your high price toys would have a use then.

I agree, but none of the centers put out a sport shot or a PBA Experience shot.

One center did do the PBA Experience league two years ago of which I participated.  It was not renewed due to lack of participants the following year. That was the last time my heavy duty gems saw action.

I must clarify. I'm surrounded by a variety of sport shot opportunities. There are sweepers, King of the Hills, sport shot leagues, some willing centers that offer sport shot practice, etc. Some centers also have floods in the middle, so the bigger balls blend the reaction better. IQ Tour has basically become a transition ball (burn ball even for some if they still use it) on most of this. I see a lot of Idols, Phaze 2, Crux Prime, Halo, and Super Son!Q on the Storm side.

It's threads like these that make me wish I was unaffiliated so I could respond without being accused of being biased . . an awful lot of people going awfully far out of their way to hate on something just for the sake of hating on it.  If the argument made sense, I could buy it, but come on . .

Most of the hate I think is due to the first two Belmo signature balls being perceived by many as turds.  I do take your word third time's the charm and this ball is going to be something special.  Still once bitten and all that on people not jumping on the hype train right away.  This will be ball that perhaps gets people to forget.  Storm did put that line in a bit of hole to start (perception wise anyway).  May get someday but need to get off house shot before ready for another hook in the box.

Well said BowlingforDonuts. First couple were duds. I'm hoping this ball is everything it's suppose to be. Having Belmo's name on it will hurt more than help Storm because 95% percent bowlers bowl with one hand. People have this thing when they see his name on a ball it was built for 2 handed high rev players and that's not good when you see 90% of players on tour playing more of a tweener style.

Thanks I think lol . . but I'm going to echo Northface.  Stu was 8 for 8 with it to start, Belmo got most of his, and literally everyone else had significant carry issues in addition to getting to the pocket issues.  Wrapping some 10s was better than what happened to literally everyone else but Wes, so I came away pretty impressed.  I'm looking more for ball motion because carry is more conditional and situational, plus there's a huge difference between dynamic motion on the backend and wrap 10s vs slow reaction and flat hits with deflection.  A lot of those hard wrap 10s continued through the pocket and I was actually pretty impressed that a ball that smooth would play that well from that much angle and still drive.  Even a Phaze 2 gets iffy from those kinds of angles, and it's maybe the most versatile ball I've ever thrown outside of the Pro Motion.  I just think you're going to continue to see them everywhere and they're going to look good.  I thought the Idol Pro looked pretty good too even though it didn't strike much either.  It's just that given the benchmark of reaction and carry from everyone else bowling, I thought the Pro Motion looked as good if not better than anything else, and in a higher scoring or better carrying situation, I think it'll show there too.
