Team triplicate last night!
« on: January 09, 2008, 10:50:51 PM »
Don't know how often this is done, but our team rolled 954/954/954 last night!  Not only that, but we were going against a team that we've never come close to beating.  Last night's match was scratch and we took all 4 points!!  That's as good as taking 1st place for the year!!

Word.  That's pretty cool.  You should contact the USBC and see if it will get you in the record books.  Probably not a lot of team triplicates shot.

Good shooting for all on that!!

It is odd....I remember one of the teams in our league almost did that against us.  The interesting thing was the team we bowled was one of the two teams where all the bowlers have Downs Syndrome.  When bowling them, each bowler can fluctuate from one game to the next like night and day.

They did have 2 games the same and the third was only 30 or so pins off.

You'd be surprised.

Here's the record-high team triplicates for 5-man teams (through the year 2005).

1,144 Stroh’s Bohemian Beer, Detroit, Dec. 7, 1950
1,118 Orchard Lanes, Detroit, April 24, 1980
1,105 Big Boy, Rogers, Mich., March 9, 1999
1,096 Pizza Five, Ewing, N.J., March 7, 2005
1,088 What Goes Around, Houstin, April 20, 1998

I can't find the 4-man records.

We didn't even know we'd done it!!  We were so wrapped up in having won the match -- one of their team was keeping score and let us know about it.  Thought that was pretty cool of him!!  He let the center manager know about it, too.....Maybe we'll make SportsCenter or something!!

I forgot to add a note that they are the highs through 2005 only.
