Thoughts on what is the best valued balls out there, new and or used. I have a feeling that my league shot as screaming at me, Less is More so let's hear em.
-
Coumbia Freeze: hard to beat a Messenger core, Momentum coverstock, and a great price.
-
Have to agree.....Freeze is a beast at the price point...
-
Ebonite Cyclone. IMHO, the absolute best value being made right now.
If you can't handle throwing Ebonite, then I would suggest the Motiv Tribal or Tribal Fire. Both are inexpensive and will work great on a THS.
-
Strike King....? :-\ :-\
I could see having one with some surface and a stronger layout and one with a longer pin to pap with some shine covering a lot of THS conditions......
-
You can't go wrong with a Cyclone!
-
DV8 Misfit gets my vote. That's the ball that got me hooked on DV8.
-
Roto Grip HP2 and HP 3 line.....great values!!
-
cylcone, freeze, ringer. pick your favorite company
-
Ringer series
-
Cyclone and Freeze would be a good THS/breakdown combo. I love my Cyclone!
-
Sub $100 balls from Utah, baby.
-
DV8 Misfits are great. Love Brunswicks Strike Kings and Ringer Series.
Most companies entry stuff is pretty spot on great and under utilized.
-
I can't believe no one has said the Venom Shock yet. Without a doubt the best performance that I've ever seen at it's price point.
-
Can't go wrong with the Cyclone or Freeze, I love both. I will also add the Grease Monkey to the list, that is a lot of ball for the money.
-
Cyclone is the biggest cover/core money can buy for $100-120 or whatever the going shop rate is.
-
No one has said the Hook series. I'll put my Hooks up against any other company's entry level stuff.
-
Parker Bohn set the 8 game scoring record with a Strike King. I don't know what more you could want out of a ball.

To be able to throw it like Parker Bohn III.
-
Surprised no one has mentioned the Disturbed.
-
IMO, it's the Strike King! I have sold a ton of them this year! Grease Monkey would have to be #2.
-
Roto Grip Rumble. Nice midlane without overreaction.

Roto Grip Rumble. Nice midlane without overreaction.
I'm with you Track_Fanatic....exact same experience for a long period of time now on my 2nd year of leagues with the Rumble and it's stood the test of time from medium to light-medium which is what I see as the majority of house lane conditions. You can't beat the price nor the numbers solid cover that's adjustable.
-
Columbia Freeze or Blur.
-
Now discontinued, but the Cobalt Vibe is an incredibly versatile ball
-
Blur or Cyclone...or for a bit more $$ the Disorder is really good. Radical balls are worth a look as well (Grease Monkey, Yeti).
-
I would say the original yeti...at such a drastic discount on the inter webs it's a lot of a ball
-
"Strike King"
-
Grease Monkey or Grease Monkey POW
-
Don't forget about the Ringer series from Brunswick.
-
Motiv Ascent or Ascent Apex
-
Strike King.
-
I have discovered how good the AMF King Kobra trully is. Once I took the surface to a true 4000 grit....this ball has become my go to ball all the time. This ball is the definition of smooth control. I am so glad I bought this ball because it has a permanent spot in my bag. I have used it two weeks now and haven't shot under 700 yet with it. Just my two cents.
-
Motiv Sigma Sting. Hands down, the best benchmark ball you can buy yet it's very versatile. It's always in the bag for league nights and will also be in the bag for any tournaments this year.
-
For value I would suggest the Ebonite Cyclones, Brunswick Strike Kings and the always popular Storm Tropical's. For a majority of house conditions these will suffice. I have drilled quite a few of the Cyclones and Strike Kings as of late.
