I would be willing to pay $2000 a year for something like what you described. I do not spend that much on bowling now, but having the coach and the massage therapist onboard would be a huge plus. Also, being able to go in and request a certain pattern for practice would be wonderful. I hate practicing on a broken down THS...I may only have two borads of area, but they both have arrows on them!
Here is the problem.
In today's society, everybody is so focused on short term budgeting, it would be hard to get this kind of money out of Average Joe in a lump sum. Think about it. When you go in to buy a car, what is the first thing the salesman asks you? "What kind of monthly payment can you afford?" Nevermind dealing on the actual price of the car, they want you to think you can afford it based on how much it costs each month. Same thing with bowling. Even if we already spend $2000 a year on bowling, it is much easier to spend $10-$20 each time you go in. If you had the chance to sign up tomorrow for $2000, how many could actually cough up the dough overnight (don't answer that, it's just a question for everyone to ponder)? So, with that in mind, what kind of people will be joining this bowling club? Only those 1.) who are financially able, 2.) who's wives allow them, and 3.) who are really into bowling. Considering those three things, you could end up with a group of people within a very narrow demographic. Granted, you would get rid of some of the riff-raff (there are a few scruffs in every league that we could all do without), but there are ALOT of great people and great bowlers that would simply be unable to afford such a thing. Still, it is an interesting idea.
