Who would be the best coach in the country for kids? A 10 year old to be exact. A girl I work with her kid bowls and she was asking.

Joe Slowinski? Don't know if he is the best but has to be up there.

How does one determine the best kids coach in the country?

thats a big question. first its interesting you go straight to best in the country when someone asks for a coach recommendation. second, this is kind of like a ball recommendation question when someone asks whats the best ball for my league.
is the kid an advanced 10 year old? is this their first year bowling a league? have they ever been coached before? do they know anything about bowling fundamentals? what is their aptitude for bowling? are they a smart or "average" 10 year old (sorry parents there are smart and dumb kids out there).
i second coach slowinski. hes got to be top 5 at least. although i dont know how he does with rudimentary and young kids coaching. ive only seen him with high school age and older and more technically advanced players

check with your local center and see if they have USBC certified coaches who volunteer during the youth leagues. Best way to get started with the fundamentals.
A great example is the Palace In Columbus OH. Gold Coach Ron Hatfield has his whole coaching staff volunteer during the Saturday youth league. I know he has at least 9 silver and 2 bronze who work the league during the season. Bowlers who want to pursue further coaching has a staff to pick from.
who is the best coach for a 10 year old is the one they like and gets something out of each lesson.
I have coached with Ron for years one of the best.
