Changing axis rotation
« on: April 30, 2018, 04:43:38 PM »
I just got back from a tourney this weekend where I struggled with carry in the first of four games. After paying attention to the deliveries of others around me who were striking at will, I changed my axis rotation.

I usually finish my delivery in a "thumbs-up" position. A hand shake as it were. The last three games of the set that I bowled, I purposely released the ball in a "thumbs-down" position, or at the very least a suit case position.

My carry jumped up and increased considerably. Anyone else ever tried this type of change-up?

In the "old" days it was called adjusting.

Never thumb down.  But maybe thumb equal for my suitcase!

Recently leading qualifier in a tourney with that position and a Scout Black solid reactive, pancake block!

Oh my...it surprised the scratch bowlers!

My old teammate told me I had a "power suitcase" delivery. The carry is feast or famine. Trust me JJ :D
