Best Team Names
« on: November 20, 2003, 06:15:29 AM »
I got to thinking about this after reading the post on nicknames for bowlers.  Now this doesn't have to be the teams real name, but what are the funny ones.  I will start it off.

Mixed league good friends of ours you W.G.A.S. as the team name it is who give a well ya know.  My mens league we are sponsor by a local custom woodworking shot and people have become fond of referring to us as the woody's.

Come on give them to me

More recently during a summer league we named our team "Scoregasm".

Representing the 909 (in July of '04, it will be the 951. How gay!), this was B-Car.

I've only been in a couple leagues, but my favorite was "Deathtongue".  May be recognizable to any Bloom County fans out there....

always liked V.I.P's for Visibly Intoxicated Persons

9 or 10 years ago in junior leagues we were the Alley Gators because someone won an aligator out of one of the crane machines at the bowling alley...lol

at one time our mixed league bowled right before an all gay men's league. they really let it all hang out so to speak, yucky! anyhow, the funniest team name I actually stood still and read was the head pin honeys. there were others but that's the one I still remember. Once when I went to leave the lanes my car wouldn't start. I had to think twice about how to go back inside to ask for a jump. lmao

It wasn't my team, but my friend's team (4 men and one chick) was called the Slapaho Tribe.

Haha!

I was a scorekeeper at our City Tournament and saw one team named Gospel Truth, and then there was Turkey Hunters.  Another one was D.I.D.K. (Damn, I Don't Know).

When I asked what D.I.D.K. meant, that was the reply.

My girlfriend`s Friday night mixed league team (her and three guys), is named "Beauty & the Beasties", but they had it listed wrong at the beginning of the season, so it was listed as "Booty & the Beasties"...
