Mr Brother and I busted open my old code red using a large iron pry and a sledge hammer. buried about half the ball in the ground to keep it stable. put the pry in the finger hole and hit hard. split right open. I must say destroying old bowling balls can be fun.

I wanted to get the core out of my Omega LM intact, had a screw driver, a chisel and hammer on the job, the block started to come off with that foamy inner core so it went in the bin. Should have another go at it with my RevolutionIST. 15lb so its got filler though, not shell/core like the 16's are(i think)

My ball already cracked from finger to thumb and i just took a screw driver and a hammer and continued destroying it. There is not cover stock and almost no filler left. Just pieces of core. Unfortunately, pieces of the core came off with the filler material. o well.

A 150 grain bullet from a .30-06 will break it into a few large chunks.  I've shot 3 balls and all had essentially the same results.  I was hoping for an explosion of some sort but it just kinda crumbled.  Next time I will use something bigger.  :-)

I'm going to report you to the proper authorities for bowling ball abuse.

I tried a bandsaw and it did not work. It seemed to get past the cover stock and then would not go any further. Maybe a different blade would have done it, but it just kept binding up and would not go any further.

Son was retreing a ball and it was the one he shot his first 200 (252) with. I was going to cut it in half and try to mount it on a plaque for him. But could not get the ball apart.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE, ONSLAUGHT, REVS, FLIP & PYRO. STAND 22 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND CRUSH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING!!!

Put the ball on a spinner. Position it to where you wish the cut to be. Start it and hold a hack saw to it. Be patient.

Bandsaw for clean cut or a cutting torch(oxy/ace)to get the core out intact.
