Best Wishes - Michelle
« on: June 04, 2003, 05:28:36 AM »
Got a chance to meet this fine young lady yesterday.  Can sure see why she's on the tour and I'm at home watching the TV.

I believe this stop is her last one for the year, lets all root her on.

Sorry I couldn't get up to watch in person.  Sure hope someone on here will tape the show for me, good real good feelings about her chances.

Best of luck Michelle, may all your strikes be in a row, all your splits little ones, and all your frames a mark.

Go for it, Michelle and as Kelly Kulick repeatedly said during the PWBA US Open, it is just you and the pins.

Belated good wishes from me, as well, Michelle.

I hope it's not too late for you to go out and whack 'em!

We just finished the first block...I'm not faring well.  I felt like I started the day well enough but a whiffed single pin shook the confidence and I started struggling.  Lately I had been using the Sonic X on all of the single pins, just killing the release...unfortunately, it was moving away at the last moment today (something it wasn't doing yesterday in practice).

Many are playing inside, but I have been playing down and in from outside with the Pearl Assault and Sonic X (switched midway through the 3rd or 4th game)...as long as I executed good shots, I can get to the pocket...unfortunately the good execution has not been stellar to this point.

Somehow I have to rechannel my focus...I admittedly got frustrated by a couple of people on an adjacent pair that apparently don't know the meaning of the phrase "yield courtesy," which means that I have had a significant number of shots where I stood at the return seemingly forever.  Ragnarok commented on the swelling of the hand, but I cannot use it as an excuse...there were a few twinges, mostly in the last game.

The only bright spot is that the scoring pace has not been terribly high, and I have to hold out hope of catching lightning in a bottle this evening.  I know the scores are there if I can put everything together...

You can do it Michelle.  Don't get frustrated.  We are all behind you.

I don't really play cards and I am not 79, but it fits together somehow.
