Title: Black Chaos
Post by: strikeking on January 01, 2013, 12:59:13 PM
I have a black Columbia Chaos that has a pearlized or marble finish instead of the matte finish. What ball do I have and where can I find info?

You have an original Chaos my friend. So long as its all black with red/white logos. It has probably just been polished heavily so that it could get down the lane. I remember that ball being too much upfront for me. Check bowlingballvault.com for more info.

Surface on those was microscopic glass beads. Was a great ball and I was able keep the surface on mine alive for years. Lots of guys complained they died real fast. I just used scotchbrite and an occasional bath to keep those glass pores open.

The memories. That was my first particle ball. Likr righty, the thing hooked out in the mid-lane for me. I had to polish the thing to a marble to get any use out of it.

OMG - Great Ball - With todays oil its going to be medium to light oil ball and the backend is arching...  If the backend is clean you will get allot of movement...

Thanks to All who replied. I used this ball last night and was very pleased with the way it carried the corners. Some times older IS better!
