The vojo discs are interesting. Kind of like that idea. Warm up tool is good too.  Problem they want too much money for these items.

The Axis Block Trainer seems cheap. It looks like a piece of a wood, with two holes drilled and paint slapped on it.

I used several different versions during my rehab from Rotator Cuff surgery. Still use them to work on arm swing, axis, finger dexterity drills, etc. A little costly, but well made and work well. There is a good video around of Mika using the block and tossing it around with one of the other guys working on axis rotation.

I really like the products.  We use several of them for our high school teams.  They were just running a deal a few weeks ago, not sure if they still are, but you could get "blems" for a decent percentage off..

Coach:

I don't have the time and am far from a crafty guy when it comes to training tools, so I finally caved and bought some of the swing trainers. I have to say I've been satisfied with their products and vision. I bought the weighted orb and pin, respectively.

If you're the crafty type and can make weighted tools that simulate appropriate swing paths for less money, I'd say go your way. Otherwise, let the guys at Eileen's do the job for you.

The biggest keys when allowing customers or students to use those tools is the managing appropriate grip pressure, while maintaining balance and leverage. Therefore, I'm a big proponent of the products.

You know you can go to the store and buy a 8, 5, or 3 lb dumbell (with soft neoprene coating) for under $10. I have a 5 lb I take to practices. Fits nice in a side pouch  in my coaching bag.

I am not stating that these tools don't work but really, $60 for a 5 lb weight. A little extreme in my opinion.

Coach,

I bought a set of these for my wife this year and she doesn't like the "feel" of them, says they feel greasy.  I tried cleaning them but she still doesn't use them.  If you want them for your HS team all you have to do is pay shipping and they're yours.

If you're interested pm me your zip and I'll let you know what the shipping cost is and what my paypal id is.

Take care....John
