You know bowling is moving up in the world when it has a doping scandal.
-
Does anyone know what exactly are the banned substances in bowling? Or does WADA just maintain a list of generally banned substances for any sport it works with?
-
I’m currently wondering what performance enhancing drugs help with bowling, and how I can get them 🤣 I need all the help I can get on this poor excuse for a house shot!
-
If we think we are losing bowlers now, imagine what would happen if we had mandatory random drug testing for league bowlers. : )

Alcohol seems to be the drug of choice in my sport league; we call it aiming juice

Reading a post on Facebook from a friend of mine, the bowler stated that it was blood pressure medication. Evidentially, BP meds can be used as a masking asking for other drugs.
-
I assume he could have gotten a TUE then if it was for a legitimate medical condition. If not can probably forget about a lot of the over 50 crowd bowling in these events.
-
At least he won't have to pay taxes on his medal.
-
Well duh, how else do you loft the gutter cap? GAINZ

If this is indeed true, then the bigger problem here is the failure to self-report. I mean, as innocuous as it sounds because of it being BP meds, If there is ANY medication being taken for ANY legitimate medical reason, it would make better sense to report that to tournament officials well and truly before any competition begins, because it would be easier to get permission in this case than beg for forgiveness. I mean, Russia missed out on how many Olympics because of their ban?
