Bowler you would like to spend the day with...
« on: August 30, 2007, 02:50:48 AM »
If there was a professional or a top amateur bowler you would like to spend the day with, who would that bowler be, and how would you spend that day?

I'll start. The pro bowler I would like to spend the day with is Pete Webber. The man is exciting and "spicy". Being a beginner/intermediate bowler I believe that I could learn a lot from him, not only about bowling, but other life things.

I would spend the day bowling a few games, learning from him, and then I'd take him to a Penn State Football game, the Berkely Creamery on campus, and have a picture taken with him at the Nittany Lion Shrine.

Wow!!  Thanks!!  Don't know what I did for that!!  Unlike some of the super stars that are picked, I might be able to do it!!

All depends on what people want to do.  If you want to learn about bowling, some are better than others.  If you want to hang out or party, there are definitely some "life of the party" type guys out there.

Mike Miller is absolutely hilarious.  Jeff Carter is just cool, he and Schlem are just regular guys that know a butt load about bowling!!  Pete Weber is a pretty fair golfer but a terrible dancer from what I've heard.  Randy Petersen is pretty funny too.  Leanne is super nice, good player too.  Carol Norman, not party animal, yes to overflowing bowling knowledge.  Carol is my girl.  Anne Marie Duggan is becoming a golf fanatic, she knows a lot about bowling also, funny girl, we are becoming pretty good friends.  Del Ballard is a riot, we go back awhile.  Mark Williams is viciously funny, I cry laughing around him, he likes golf too.  Ozio is a good dude, fishing fanatic.  I don't really know Duke, Diandra, PB3, Billy O, or Clara very well of the players you guys mentioned.

My Dad bowled, but he wasn't really a bowler.  Billiards and basketball were his games, and he did both exceptionally well.  He was the biggest supporter in my family of my bowling.  My last regional title came the year he passed away in '95.  I would like to spend another day with him, I miss him, that's who I'd spend my day with.

Have a safe and fun Holiday weekend!!!!

If I had the chance, it would be either Mark Roth or Marshall Holman in there younger years, but using today's equipment. Those guy's "rock".

Mike,

I'd would the day with you so you could drill my bowling balls, go bowl a few games, go play some golf [if you are into golf], and then go watch The Outlaw Josey Wales on DVD

Ironic you said that. I had a great chat with him and Sara (Vargas) when he drove me from the Orlando Airport to Kegel one time back in 2005. Great person to be around, and has a lot of insight about life and the future of our sport.

Earl Anthony, discussing strategy mostly mental game aspects

Walter Ray, what he sees on the lane and how it pertains to his style

Norm Duke, same as above but what tool to use when?? (He has way too many tools in his box!!)

Tommy Delutz - How fast does that GTO go? Where do you find all the hotties? (previous years, extensive drooling during regionals)

Chief,Jeff Carter,Sclem - How many licks does it take to get to the center of tootsie roll tootsie pop? Sorry, that question after the pitchers of beer, wings at hooters and watching Monday night Football.

Last group would be my first preference!!
