Title: Bowlers
Post by: SrKegler on December 30, 2002, 10:20:01 PM
We are losing bowlers fast enough, I want all BR to be extremely careful over the rest of the holidays.  Matter of fact, everyone post here on the afternoon of the 1st so I can make sure everyone is ok.

Happy holidays

As another "olphart" (although not as old as Sawbones!) I am happy to report that I have made it to another year. Getting old is not for the faint of heart but it is better than the alternative. Live long and prosper! Happy New Year, everyone!

I will watch the Rose Bowl and cheer for WSU.

I think an equally entertaining matchup would
be Ragnar vs. Sawbones. Winner takes all.

Actually, I haven't seen the odds but I would
think that the Sooners are the favorite.

Bet now, I don't think so...How many points will yo give me Sawbones?

Braggin rights are worth their weight in gold.
If the Okies win it will because of crappy field conditions
and bad football that would not spiral.

Well,  so much for happy new year.
I here by relinquish all braggin rights to
Sawbones. Sooners won hands down.

So lets get back to bowling.

Charlest,  so sorry about your right hand.I feel
your pain, I had to go through the broken wrist bone ( left wrist)
thing, took 3 months, but is ok now. How did you do that?
Did they put a cast on your hand? You will probably heal fast.

Happy 2003 everybody, I am in one piece (played it smart and stayed home last night.) and feeling alive after a 14 hour sleepathon from last night. Cant wait to bowl tomorrow night and start off the new year with a bang. Hope all had a great, safe time and lets all do it again same time next year!

P.S. I didnt get my 300/800 from Santa Claus last week, but I'll go for the New Year's resolution on it instead.

Thank you, Girl Scout!. I appreciate it very much. Thankfully, the wrist is fine. The hand is lovely yellowish purple right now.

It only hurts when I laugh ...

I take the 5th amendment on that;I'd rather not incriminate myself.

Nope; just gave me a splint; Funny thing is it looks almost exactly like a RObby's. Bone is fractured, not separated; I can almost type ... Supposed to heal in 4 weeks; supposed to be back to normal in 6-8 weeks. Thanks, again.

I'm still here, though my ex-boyfriend died on Dec 27, and I'm feeling my mortality these last few days.  Went to a bowling party on New Year's Eve.  It was cosmic and I couldn't see where I was throwing, but it was fun anyway.  Thanks for asking, SrKegler!

I hope everyone has a happy and, more importantly, healthy, new year!

I survived the New Years deal myself.  I celebrated midnight by going out to the mailbox to see what bills the mailman had left for me on New Years Eve day.  Yep, sure enough, there was a bill in the box!

While I was out at the mailbox, I heard enough gunfire going off that I decided it was probably better to have a roof over my head (falling lead), so I wandered back inside.  It is pretty easy to distinguish fireworks from gunfire in my area, and you hear both of 'em on New Years Eve at midnight.

Well, we're all here, and so far we're safe. New Years Day is my least favorite day of the year, so I've got 13 hours left and counting...

Woke up at 6 AM, and the roads were wet. Went back to sleep, woke up again at 10:15 (enjoying a really rare lazy day), and there's 3-4 inches of snow on the ground. I live in the Portland Oregon area - we don't usually get snow, and we've had it for 3 days now.

I haven't thrown a bowling ball since 12/21, and I'm getting increasingly anxious about bowling a tournament this weekend. I haven't decided yet.

I survived the night. We had our bowling partners over for a crab dinner. Lounged around all evening. No one should have had a big head this morning.

Read mumzie's post. 3 or 4 inches of snow! I had that in about an hour this morning, on top of the 16 inches we had during the week. Portland rolls up the sidewalks if they get over an inch of snow. People there drive like a bunch of idiots.

Mumzie not included.
