Professional Bowlers or Primadonnas?
« on: February 25, 2013, 10:08:18 AM »
With all the talk about fans making noise in the audience, I wondered if I was the only person thinking that the professionals that complain about noise in the crowd are ore akin to primadonnas than solid athletes. The truth is that they step on the approach, walk up to the line and throw  the ball.

Last I checked, noise has no impact on them walking to the line or rolling the ball. If not hearing is so important, they should put in ear plugs.

They are just looking for an excuse for their own failure.

They're going to have some primadonna tendencies, that just comes with the territory, they're going to try to take whatever they can get, but if every single bowler out there has a significant issue with something, I'm gonna say that's not a primadonna thing.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Now bowling, well I kinda think that they should be able to play with noise in background, like league, however, I like the quiet when I bowl, and if I were ever good enough to be bowling for my livelihood, then I would definately prefer it to be on the quieter side..

When u think of the crickly drink bottle that Belmo used, can totally understand that would be annoying, also like Belmo talking out loud prior to Machuga taking his last shot... It's when it's deathly quiet then any anomoly kind of noise becomes an irratant to say the least.

I would love Pro bowling to have the atmosphere of pro darts though, seriously check it out.

My own opinion is I don't care at all about noise, in fact I would rather have some noise instead of silence. The only thing I do care about is lane courtesy. Don't you dare get up next to me when I ready to throw, and I do give 2 lanes, sorry that's me and that's the way it will be.

You bowl in a local tournament. The tournament rules states lane courtesy is set at 1 lane. Are you going to get upset when someone 2 lanes down sets up on the approach while you are on the approach?

Talkin' Trash!
