Do we think this article will help push current leadership out of power?

I am admittedly very ignorant towards Chad's sins, so I have very little frame of reference for this article. That said, the article came across a bit flat.

A few folks felt bullied by Mr. Murphy, so much so that some folks lost their jobs or were snubbed for an opportunity. Welcome to Corporate America, where the bully-est white males tend to win (sadly). Now lay out what's next; What's the solution? Is it possible to help? If so, how can we help?

Came across this article yesterday. It is sort of long winded, but gives the reader a view from a place much further up the chain than most of us will ever be, and that view of leadership is not a good one.

The picture it paints of Mr. Murphy, and his “leadership” techniques and abilities, is very unflattering, and is actually alarming.

If the article is as accurate as I think Mr. Richgels has been in the past on other subjects, it does not bode well for the existence of the U.S.B.C., or organized bowling, in general.

If Mr. Murphy truly is as blind to reality as the article portrays him, and has motives as reticent as they seem to be, it may already be too far gone, and that is sad.

So, it's essentially crony corporatism?

That's a legitimate question, as I truly don't know.  It's what it sounds like.

Makes it sound like a self-righteous megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur is running the ship, throwing everybody overboard that doesn’t agree with, or like, him, and also guarding the gangplank to make sure only the people he wants to get on board do so.

ALL HAIL THE GREAT AND OMNIPOTENT MURPH!

It's Chad's sport and he is nice enough to let us play by his rules for $25 a year.

Similar in stature that's for sure.

After reading that long article it affirms everything that I thought about the guy within the first 5 minutes of meeting him.

Thousands of big time corporations operate like this. It's the American way. A bully at the helm with cronies and workers afraid of losing their jobs so they comply. The only difference here, is that Year Over Year profit/membership growth doesn't seem to be the #1 KPI for measure of success. Without that, good luck getting anything to change. It's just a circle jerk for the good ole boys.

It would take another 10-15+ years for positive change in the USBC. But by then, Virtual Reality will be as common as Tablets and PS4s and the next generation of bowlers will be non existent. They'll be plugged into their Oculus Rift playing Fortnite 6 as it's more exciting and visually rewarding than going to the last bowling center in town and paying $10/game for practice in 2030.

Chad Murphy at the helm could be just the right guy to finish this all off for good.
