You beat me to it. Went ditch-ditch about 5-10 years ago. I can't remember what effect it had on whether we won or lost but I remember being mad as hell. And then I followed that up in the 10th by leaving a 10-pin on the first ball and missing it. That's 9 pins over 3 balls for those of you scoring at home.

Jess

P.S.: Worst overall happened in the 10th frame. I needed 9/3 to win and got 9/2.

During a collegiate conference tournament last season, I whiffed a 4 pin in the 9th frame in the final baker game.  Our anchor had to strike out for us to win the tournament by 3 pins...

I almost had a heart attack watching my shot miss the 4 pin by about a quarter of an inch... geez.

Both last year....

Just rolling right along, all is good with the world and I've got 546 for two.. On a 4 bagger, strike in the 9th just about locks up 800 and I ring dime. I then proceed to take way too long to shoot it and miss the spare. 800 was out of the wood at that point..

Later in the season, same league, I start 247-299. 279 in the wood going into the 8th frame. Ring dime in the 8th, stuff 9 pin in the 9th.. And again, 800 is out of the wood.. Grrr

Gutter ball coming off a spare in the 8th.  Done that in the tenth as well coming off a spare in the 9th.  Really sucks when the game is on the line.  The look on team mates faces pretty much says it all......
