Best Ball Cleaner?
« on: June 06, 2007, 06:58:58 AM »
What is the best ball cleaner around?  Looking for an all-around cleaner that can be used on all balls and does not alter their current surface.

Thanks.

warm water... a bucket ... and some time...

if you don't have time and a bucket at hand I guess i comes down to what you expect.

I used some spray cleaners and found all working good but the best seems imho to be "Extrem clean" from Lane Concepts .. the ball feels tacky and hooks like crazy so I use it during league play after a set of two/three..

when it comes to those other cleaners that seems to need a spinner or a least a pair of strong hands... no clue... I have a bucket

but others will chime in and give you better advice than I can.

With regards to the Track Clean 'n Dull, does the "Dull" portion of the name dull polished balls?

No.  It leaves the surface as it is.  If it's 4000-grit polished, it stays 4000-grit polished.  If it's 180-grit dull, it stays that way.

That's one reason for the product called Clean 'n' Tacky, the confusion that the "Dull" cleaner makes balls dull.  Perfectly valid since Clean 'n' Sheen and Clean 'n' Polish leave compound and polished finishes, respectively.

I personally like hot, soapy water or Ebonites' PH energizer cleaner.

I use Storm Xtra Clean, and it works perfectly for me. The tack of the balls is amazing.

I use Ebonite for cleaning after I bowl a few games. But for deep cleaning, I agree with Track Clean and Dull. I usually do that about every other week, depending on how many games I had bowled, or if the ball got really dirty from the machines.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE, ONSLAUGHT, REVS, FLIP & PYRO. STAND 22 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND CRUSH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

For a fast clean the best I have used is a cleaner I found(actually I didn't find it my driller told me about it)at the dollar store Called LA's Totally Awesome. It says you can dilute it but I use it full stregnth. It comes in a great 20oz. spray bottle and it's only a buck.
