Pretty good first night
« on: May 02, 2011, 06:10:45 PM »
Well, first league in about 3 years.  Also the first "fun" league I'v bowled on.  In the psst it was always the competitive scratch leagues.

Know I remember what bowling was all about.  A night out to relax, have fun, meet new people.  Mission accomplished.

Scores weren't what I'd hoped for, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel.  Shot 593 which was tons better than my last comeback attempt.  Spare shooting is practically non-existent.  4 opens first game, 3 2d game, 1 in the 3rd game.

Luckily this house gives free bowling ($200) to each league member.  Sure will come in handy for the practice I need.

Isn't it neat to get out and see what bowling is really about?

For YEARS, I was so into bowling, that it wasn't fun. Every shot counted, and I was out to kick a** and take names. If I couldn't win, I didn't sleep good.

THEN, I had life changing occurences, and was lucky if I got to bowl at all, and found that it wasn't the competition I missed as much as it was the bowling and friends I made. I missed that more than I missed the pure winning.

Glad to have you back. If you don't mind, hold the door for me until I get able to come back myself.

Good luck SrKegler.

593 doesn't sound too bad to me.

Hi SrKegler.

Just noticed your post, don't get on much now myself. Glad to see you're giving the orb another rolling.

I decided to give it another go this season. Struggling for scores but boy do I enjoy a night out with the guys.

I'm now trying to stay out of the bottom 3 rather than trying to stay into the top 3 but I don't think I've ever enjoyed bowling so much. Wait until we get some oil, I may even make it into the top half :)

Really, really glad to hear that you're bowling again.

Sounds like you're getting better with each game. Happy to hear that you're back on the lanes.

P.s. You're signature brings back some good memories from this site. I'm glad you have them listed in your sig, I almost forgot about them.
