What are your thoughts on wearing your bowlings rings... Most of us who have rings do you still wear them or do you consider that showing off..  And for those who have several do you wear them all.  Just wanted to know if I was the only crazy person who bought the gold multiple ring...

Which rings do you like best the old rings or the new rings

I've gotten to the point that the next 2 I order, 300 + 800 I'm getting the multiple top ones and wear those on a necklace on my neck. I don't wear rings on my fingers cause they just don't fit right and my weight fluctuates.

I've only worn one of my 300 rings.  I was fortunate enough to bowl a 300 game on my Father's birthday back in 1987, and he was there to see it.  He died in 1989, and as a tribute to him, I wore the ring every day for a year.

I don't wear them. And I have never ordered Gold.

But I don't wear any jewelry, other than a watch.

I don't have a problem with people who wear one, but I'm with the others on wearing multiples being a little tacky.

I will occasionally wear one, but it has to be on my non-bowling hand or it feels strange while bowling. The exception was my last 300 ring that I ordered in the smaller model. It's barely bigger than my wedding band and is much less cumbersome.

They represent an achievement that, although they are more common nowadays, the vast majority of bowlers never see one over their lifetime in the sport.

I also have a friend who orders the largest size available because he just displays them in their box.

RSalas, I envy your being able to throw a 300 with your Dad present. My Dad is also gone, but by father-in-law happened to be present when I threw my first, and he was so excited he (forgot) and wore his bowling shoes home... Snow and all!

My last 300 game came in april of this year and it was the first one my father got to see.  I gave him the ring when it arrived in the mail last week.

If you want to wear your ring wear it. The only bowling ring I wear is the PBA 300 ring I shot in 1987. And I wear a watch I got for Bowler of the year for the Greater St. Louis Bowling Assc. in 2006.

I don't often wear Jewelry.  When I do, I usually wear my gold 800, but sometimes my silver 300.  I have several grandchildren and my goal is to give each one a ring when I die.  Wearing them is bragging...sure.  About what you have done, not what you are going to do.  Once I got that through my head, it doesn't bother me to wear them when I bowl.  The only time I wear more than one  is when I go to a kids tournament and I want to show them what they can do.  Inspiration, I hope.
