Bowling With Rudy Revs
« on: September 01, 2003, 08:48:48 PM »
Rudy Revs is in a pro shop in a bowling center in Tupelo Mississippi.

There was an SSJBA doubles tourney where a junior bowls with an adult 9 pin no tap.

2nd set I look at the pair next to us and there sits Rudy shoeing up.
Typical house shot 5 on out really dry and even Rudy said he likes this shot because there is hold area.
If Rudy says there is hold area with his revs the middle must be flooded.
Synthetic overlay over wood lanes. I believe it was Guardian.

Don't know the pattern length but Rudy was sliding at 34 hitting 20 at the arrows to about 10-11 at the break point with an old Silver Buzz Saw takijng his back swing up over his head and whacking the ball pretty well.
He shot 262-263-250 I believe the last game.
Rudy said he was trying to shoot 264 the last game when someone asked but just didn't get it done.

He was a really nice guy and had fun talking to and joking with the people there.

So what, it's NO Tap.  PBA member, house shot and only shoots 775?

the point he was getting @ was the fact he took time out of his schedule to bowl with kids to have fun. Not every professional athletic cares to give back to his/her community. I could care less if he shot 232 as a series. It's the plain fact that he made some kids day by bowling in that tourney. /me tells the hose to crawl back under that rock you came from.

ZMan, I guess this cat doesn't understand my humor.

It's always great to see Pro-Am's where kids get excited about bowling with guys like Walter Ray, Barnes, Weber, and many others.

I don't know Rudy and I'm sure it was a trill for the kids to see him.

Now, excuse me while I crawl back under my rock

Hose - Especially left handed Oklahoma sarcasm over the internet. What's worng Everclear cut you off ?

Oh I forgot to add they had the left side shut out. No one left handed could score. Just as it always should be.

Pro Shop Kid - No don't bowl SSJBA's. I'm just a bit over the age limit.

Glad you enjoyed meeting rudy.I met him last year and wasn't impressed, considering he got offended when i wouldn't let him drill mine and my wife's balls(buzzsaw lrg's) and then ripped my ball driller without knowing him.I know he's about 1000 times better than i am, but he has a chip on his shoulder considering he hasn't done jack**** on the big tour!!!!!!Lots of people from the lehigh valley in pa i'm sure agree with me and won't miss him since he left!!!!!!!
