BR2006 - Update
« on: December 25, 2005, 04:58:03 AM »
Here's the latest. Thought I would try and consolidate everything down and find it in one place.  If I've missed your name, let me know.  I'll try and keep this updated as the year goes along.

Ball Reviews / Bowl 4 Fun.com gathering July 21-23

Here is a Yahoo map of where Creekside Lanes is located.
http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?addr=1450+trademart+blvd&csz=winston+salem%2Cnc&country=us&new=1&name=&qty=

Creekside Lanes
1450 Trademart Blvd.
Winston Salem, NC 27127

My email address if you need more info:

The hotel I suggest is Extended Stay America. It is clean and cheap!
Use the Winston Salem / Hanes Mall location.
You can find it on www.extendedstayamerica.com for a map. It just one exit from the bowling center.

I have a change in plans.  No I am not backing out.

With the ever rising cost of fuel and my not so fuel efficient '95 Taurus, I opted to once again fly.  I am trying something a little different though.  I'm flying Southwest into Raleigh Durham and driving to Winston-Salem.

Flight and rental car are booked.  I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new peeps too

I'll be arriving Wednesday evening and leaving Monday afternoon.

I'm still plannin on attending...haven't been on lately due to loss in family. Am very interested in poker, as well as darts if anyone is into darts.

Finally able to log in again.  Changed my registration information and couldn't get the site to send me a new password.  Anyway...

I think I have enough chips for a decent game.  My wife even got me a felt poker "tablecloth" for my birthday.

I also have a dart board and a pool table for those interested, but I don't want to detract from the main bowling related get together.  However, I won't turn away anybody, especially those who show up with adult beverages.    Hey, this might even be a cheap way to pay KOTM's bar bill.  If 10 people show up, each bringing a 6-pack, that might be enough!    After all, Pchee said bowlers were CHEAP!

You can move me from possible to "will be there." I've arranged
my schedule to be there that weekend.

Cheers!

I was just starting to worry about you SrKegler.  I haven't seen you on the boards in a while.

This is definitely going to be the largest gathering yet...awesome!

Toma,

I'm not much of a golfer, but a friend who lives in Winston suggested the following courses:

Reynold's Park 650-7660
Pine Tree 993-5598
Winston Lake 727-2063
Pine Knolls 993-8300
Tanglewood 778-6320

If you want me to gather more information - costs, locations... let me know.

For those of you interested in poker, let me know
What day you favor - Friday night, Saturday night, or some time Sunday.
Small entry fee or free "fun" game.
I need a head count to make sure it's worthwhile.

Let me know for sure that you want to do this in case we have more than a one table game so I can figure out the details of the tournament + make sure to have enough refreshments on hand.

There is a zoo nearby for those non-bowlers.  Small discount if 15 or more people want to attend.

The one headed BR2006 Schedule.  I think this is the link :  http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=126633&ForumID=16&CategoryID=5

Really looking forward to this, especially the Scotch Doubles.  The wife has never done that so it should be fun.  Plus meeting all these people that are just a screen name to me.
