I have been playing this for a couple of days. It seems to get better over time. Has any one gotten their career player able to be in the quick play mode? It says you can but I have not figured it out. Also, can a career player be deleted? Any help would be great.

 Thanks
  Bilvis

It's a misprint -- you cannot play as your created player in Quick Play.
You CAN overwrite a saved player's game with another player, I did that once.

And yes, the game does get better the more you play it.  The controls are finally starting to make sense (you HAVE to use a much slower armswing than you do in Wii Sports bowling!!!) and I'm finally getting more accuracy on my character's attributes as I go through career mode.

i just picked it up for PS2 at BestBuy today. haven't played it yet because i'm still working on my computer, but as soon as i start transferring my files back over i'll turn the game on and see how much it rules.

Someone who owns a PS2 or PSP version should please post some impressions on the game.  I have no interest in owning a Wii and all of the confusion and frustration seems to be Wii-based and isn't helping me any.

I am wondering what the features are like in the game like is there a career mode or how does the game actually take from first throwing the ball to a pro?

I just ordered the PS2 version from Wal-Mart for under 15 shipped.  I figure what the heck, for 15 bucks it doesn't matter if it's the worst game ever!

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

Yes, there is a career mode, but it seems to really plod along at a slow pace.  You have to bowl in a TON of three-game sets in league before going to a tournament which plays out like stepladder finals in a televised tournament.  Bowling balls, shoes, etc. all improve your "attributes" (power, hook control, accuracy, reputation) but cost a TON of money.  It's $3000 for a high end bowling ball!!  And it's hard as can be to do anything early on because your bowler starts off with HORRIBLE attributes -- he can't hit the broad side of a barn if you try to throw it more than 5mph and put anything resembling rotation on the ball.

Heh...  I don't know why but that sounds awesome to me.  I don't get the $3000 bowling ball but I guess it is just a scale to make you work to get the better stuff.  How much is it for a Vapor Zone?  I'll just get one of those.

Do you by any chance pick the style of the player or is that wishing too much?

I think it comes down to the implementation of the thing.  I only fear that!  I need to hear more about the game in terms of options and features other than WTF I can't get it to work with my wiimote.

I'll be getting it on the PSP so I want to know if it works like kind of like the tiger woods game swing or what.  I can dig the playing for money to buy cooler items to upgrade because that's what keeps you grinding away at it but the game itself has to not suck horribly to make it not a hassle to get there.

In terms of graphics, I don't care because I don't expect them to be great.  I've seen footage of the ball rolling and I thought it looked pretty cool.  The guy throwing it?  Maybe not so cool.

I've got it on PSP, didn't pay for it.  Thank goodness. The game isn't horrible, but its far from great.  The pin dynamics aren't the greatest, they are decent but not great. You leave splits VERY easily. Like others said you start off with a house ball that hooks like no other and finishes too if you get it in the hole.  The lanes actually transition though which is cool, but a pain, when hooking the ball its like once you get lined up after having to move the shot changes again. LOL.  With the PSP version you actually hold the PSP vertically, it sounds weird but it actually isn't bad. But if you don't like it you can always change it. I think all in and all, I was looking for a lot more than Crave offered in this game, i.e.- different approaches, better pin dynamics, and such.  Its not a horrible game, and it is definately better than its predacessor. LOL.  If any PSP owners have their PSP firmware to one than can play homebrew, pm me.  I'll set you up

Hold the PSP vertically?  That's totally creeping me out.  When you say change it, I can change it to where I hold my PSP normally right?

Yeah Fluff, I haven't played mine holding it horizontally yet.  I will check when I get home and let you know how it looks... Its a little weird using it vertically, but you get used to it.

I just got the game yesterday and I like it a lot. My high game is a 226 I have a groove urethane and a punisher. I played with the the fury with one of the made up characters who had pretty good stats and it didn't seem to do as good as the other balls
