Dot towel vs shammy
« on: August 24, 2014, 07:16:05 AM »
While at the pro shop last week, I noticed a Track dot towel and was interested in purchasing it. The pro shop owner told me to wait for his shipment of Storm shammy towels. He thought that was better.

Has anybody used the shammy and what benefits would it have over the dot towel or regular microfiber towels?

I was told they are washable. I just don't know if it is a better option, especially at the price. The pro shop owner has not yet let me down.  It just seems a bit extreme of a price without any additional performance.

This is on a site about Brunswick Dot Towels.

Quote
Brunswick Microfiber Dot Towel
•12” X 15”
•Use smooth side to clean bowling ball
•Dots improve your grip providing more contact with the bowling ball surface
•Assorted colors

It's not worth it.

If you are having issue with oil during play, just get an approved cleaner.
